Here's some black skimmers from a saltwater marsh, Barre de Potosi, in Pacific coastal Mexico and a few spoonbill leftovers from Playa Linda in Ixtapa. C & C's welcome. Herb

2 and 3 in particular are great catches, I love the BG colour on 3. The black in the fore spoils the last a bit for me, still pretty good though.

Hey Herb great skimmers man! I like #2 the most. they have the weirdest beak ever!
The spoonbill is cool too...i'd say that's a Roseate Spoonbill.

Very good set, Herb. Those Skimmers are some cool birds. I watch them here in the bay and it is fun to see them skimming the water in their flight paths. I like the spoonbill shots thorought the branches, gives more character.

Great shots Herb

I missed skimmers at Bolsa Chica. Maybe one day I'll get to see them.

Herb, I don't suppose the last three were auto-focus Tough weave in those branches but good shots pulled out of that tangle. Man I love those skimmers, very cool bird and those low low low angle reflection shots look excellent. #3 is quite pretty too.
