My son becomes a teenager next week, and is in a huge rush to grow up.

He was a very patient subject for me this time, normally I can't get him to slow down.

Thank you to everyone who has commented on my submission, I decided to take another crack at it. I decided to try to separate the back mirror from the cosmetic mirror with shower steam, and loosened the composition up a bit. Was the change an improvement, or do I need to stay at the drawing board a while longer?

Thank you again.

Yes, that's quite a composition! I remember my son doing this, too.

Great shot. The only thing that bothers me is the "cutting" of the head at the top.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Please excuse the edits, it took me three tries to get the new upload in.

I got a big grin from him when I told him one of the posters mentioned his modeling.

Hi Tamara,

This shot is very wonderfully composed. I like it a lot. I have a son who is thirteen, so I recognize the scene as well. Terrific image of a fantastic everyday moment. Good luck this week.

Yakim- Thanks for the comment!

Steve- Thanks very much for your comment! He did a great job with this, I thought he'd be a bit more moody about posing for me again, but he was still a sport.

Thanks very much for your comment Jouko. My model has had the shaving cream out for this ritual too.
