Its a neat shot, but its sort of... Scary. Would make me afraid of showers. Maybe thats what you were going for, fear of routine.

I'm looking for Hitchcock's cameo to appear in there somewhere...

I love the treatment, and the distortion. Great job!

Playing with the distortion on that lens is a blast. Especially if you focus real close it produces some wacky stuff!

Thanks for the comment!

Love it, Kevin! Really nice. That lens does look like a lot of fun, too.

Nice, wide angle, Kevin, with some interesting lighting. Best of luck.--Frank

Hi Kevin,

Really nice lighting in this shot and the mood it creates is a good sort of creepy. Very nice work. Good luck this week.

Hitchcock comments aside....I like this one! It is something that most of us see daily (hopefully)

Great lighting technique. Can you describe how made the corners dark? Your shot has a gritty feel to it, like when ones eyes' are full of sleep, ready to be washed out by a shower. Nice work.

It really is! Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't have shelled out for it, but it really is a unique piece of glass. 12mm on a Full Frame camera is bizarrely stunning.

Part of it is the lens vignetting on that lens wide open, which is even more pronounced in the low-lighting environment and the fact that the shower head was only about 6" from the front of the lens (at those extreme close-distances, corner performance is horrid, which is what helped me ). Further, when I brought it into Lightroom, the process of increasing black levels, contrast and adding more vignetting adds even more to the dark corners. Hope that helps!

Thanks everyone for the comments! I really like the way it came out too! It was one of those times where I saw the topic and had an idea and images in my head instantly! Gotta love those days...

I really like the color treatment here!
I'm wondering how the shot might look with water spraying out of the shower head.
