Hi, all! Well, I'm considering replacing my D70s with either a D60 or D80. Anyone use these two bodies and have any preferences/suggestions? The D70s has served my well, but I'm itching to upgrade. Presumably my existing glass will still work on these two bodies, yeah? |

If you're used to the D70 you're most likely going to want to go to the D80. The D60 while still a wonderful camera doesn't have the dual dials, top LCD, or screw drive focus motor, all those wonderful things your used to. So while yes all your lenses will "work" on both cameras, they may not focus on the D60 unless they're a lens with a built in focus motor. Where as the D80 has all those features. |

the D60 is an upgrade from the D40. The D80 is an upgrade from the D70. I used to have a D40. I was considering upgrading and was trying to decide between the D60 and D80. The D60 didnt feel like a stable body to me. Much like the issue I had with the D40. So, I went to the D80 and I havent regretted it at all! |

Honestly, I don't feel like either of your choices are much of an upgrade from the D70s. Perhaps a used D200 or a used D1X or something along those lines would be an upgrade. |
