Nice shot!
I think it would be improved by cropping off the top half-inch and the left half-inch (to get rid of the guy standing behind him.)

Hi,

The screwball was always my favorite pitch and I like this shot. The hand and ball position both clearly show it is a screwball making it a wonderful capture. I do agree with Carrol, however, about the crop. The uniform to me shows it is a real game and the umpire split in half doesn't work for me. Now if you could get all of him in the frame it would be fine. I hope this helps and good luck,

Nice idea. Would love to have had this pitcher stage a longer exposure shot with controlled lighting--showing of the progress of the curveball. But one must do with what one has.
