Hi All,

Imagine if you bought a picture from someone and it was impossible for someone to print a copy of it!!

That would be OK, wouldn't it?

If Adobe had announced that people could embed some data in a picture and Photoshop would not allow it to be printed, a lot of people would be jumping for joy!

Well, those who make their living from it anyway. Although to be fair, in real life it would have to go a lot further than just Adobe.

Regards
Nigel

One more thing, for those who think Adobe is right for implementing this, since it's their product and ..etc;

All censorship related issues aside, how would you react if you'd discover (after the purchase) that your brand new car has this new anti speed device who makes it impossible to go over the legal limit.

would you be OK with that?

Ok,

I suppose that you will sell me your pictures for forged bank notes ... right?

That is alright after all I promise to use software that does not prevent me from creating bank notes....

Well, anyway I have noticed that most people do not read all the documentation of the products they purchase. In most cases they ignore the documentation and license agreement and get right down to using the product. Whether this was disclosed or not... we will still be here fussing about this. And from reading this whole line of thought, it is clear that there is a way around it ... so scan your money and have at it.

I lurk here every now and then reading threads, thought I would chime in after a friend sent me information about this. I recently upgraded to 8. He sent the following link:

http://www.krebs2003.com/adobe%20test%20image.zip

Sure enough, it won't open.

It took me all of 11 seconds to crack. Opened it (default for me) in ACDSee 5.0. Save as PSD. Now it opens fine in PS8, can do whatever I want with it now. I printed it fine on my color laser.

Try again Adobe.
