Throughout this whole thing, I've been centered not on the fact that Adobe has implemented a feature that prohibits the scanning/opening/"whatever" of an image that contains an unauthorised bill, but on the lack of disclosure and the violation of trust. But, I have to admit the following, taken from a Zdnet article, makes me stop in my tracks and think on a more literal level: |

Well CS definitely would NOT let me scan one on the first try and linked me to some useless website about currency. Anyway as with any challenge a dedicated effort will usually find a workaround. |

I must have missed something here as mine doesn't give any problems. ![]() I have to agree that the software shouldn't have "deteection" built in -- what If I wanted to build movie sets for a mythical country with its own currency --say like Middle Earth etc. |

AS pointed out it's quite easy THIS TIME to get a work around -- or in any case just scan the banknote with any other scanning application on the planet such as paperport or whatever -- there are zillions out there. |
