This is my 2000th Post. Hard to believe I've been on the FM Forum for a year this month. Time flies when you're having fun I guess. I did want to thank the forum for the tremendous amount of help I've received with my photography over the last year. I wish I had saved the first picture I posted on the Wildlife Forum. Fortunately for all of you I did not It wasn't pretty!! Thanks to all of you, I feel my photos have improved by leaps and bounds.

These are all from the past few weeks, trips here and there. I hope they are worthy of my 2000th post. I shall let you be the judge.

Thanks for the help guys and gals

Sincerely,

Anthony

Anthony --
Congratulations!! and many happy returns on the Forum.
You have to remember to give back what you've taken
I don't recall your first post and first image from a year ago. But I agree with you that your images are very fine these days. You and only you can atest to this.
The 2000th post features very fine photography again. There are minor glitches (not in PP - in composition - eg. I wish the wing wasn't clipped in my favourite shot #5) but they're nothing. Great images. Great skills.
Keep it coming, and congrats again, mate!

Anthony, you lucky Bast@&d you , now were even Oh the egrets at last I waited day's to see these darn things, I bugged you with PM's I sent emails, heck I was just about ready to send a love mail (in Spanish) just to beg some more Wonderful job on the whites, and the comps and eye contact/focal point are perfect, Did you use HTP? If not, you should give it a whirl on these white birds, I feel it underexposes about 1/3 to 2/3 from the meter, but also does a amazing job on the feather detail. Congrats on your 2k post, I passed 3k just a few back and just realized it

Worthy ...and then some. You younger guys have this BIF thing down! I find, just when I can afford a 500mm, I can't pick it up any more

You've done a fine job on these Anthony... and your sense of humor has rubbed off on us all

Congrats..... T

Ah congrats my friend!! It has been wonderful talking, emailing, pm'ing and commenting with you. Nice job on the egrets, one of the birds I wish we had here. As nice as the egrets are I like the heron in the tree the best. The RWBB is very well done also.

Hmm, your first post. Maybe that could be a thread we should start! It may be interesting.

Congrats Anthony! Great series of a difficult to expose bird. It's also pretty cool to think you have improved that much with the help of FM. I feel the same way.

Happy 2000th! I don't get to say often, many of my friends barely make it to 1000 years.

Number 4 is a killer for me - it kind of empitomizes the sleek animal I'd like to become

Really, they're all very nice. Muchos kudos.

Thanks Mirek. I like to think I give back on a daily basis. I always try to give some of the newer members (Of which I'm on of) Comments that might improve their photos.
It's kind of a touchy subject though > Some people don't take suggestions well
Sorry about capture 5. Yes I clipped one of the wings, but really liked the capture so decided to clip equally on both sides. Still had to post it as it was one of my favorite captures too.

Thanks so much for the kind words Mirek

I knew something was coming back at me from your direction > I just wasn't sure what . Don't send those PM's / emails in Spanish > I refuse to learn a second language here in the U.S.A. If I decide to go live in someone elses country I'll learn their language then I always have HTP "ON" It slows the write speed down a bit > But it sure saves Whites on the Egrets. Sorry you missed your 3K, but at your age your lucky to remember to put your pants on in the morning

I was holding these back to keep you in suspense. Looks like it worked

Thanks my Friend
