I happened to be around Gainesville, Fl a couple of weeks ago, and I was not going to loose the opportunity to visit my favorite plce to shoot butterflies: the Butterfly Rainforest at the Museum of Natural History.
Taken with the 300mm mostely, some with the 70-200 f/4 IS. Exif data embeded.

Glad you got a chance to visit one of your favorite places. Beautiful images, Socrate. The detail is tremendous in all and the backgrounds perfect. My favorite is #........ oops - no numbers.

Spectacular images my friend! I lost track of which I like best, maybe 3. Wonderful detail and comps. Very well done. I would say more but I can't find that damn theasourus!

fantastic!! its a good time for me to pay a visit to the Butterfly conservatory up this way., always fun shooting. you did very well here buddy, sweet light and dof on all of them.

Super Clean PP as usual

I see you were using the 300 mm >> how many mm of ext tubes did you use ?
And last >> What were your settings for fill flash >> I can never decide how much is enough or to much when attempting to use fill flash.... Oh and do you use a diffuser ?
I"m guessing my 500mm and Better Beamer might be to much for these little guys
The Better Beamer might light them on fire

That series is a great lesson on compositions lighting an BG control. I will be looking at these several times Socrate for the lessons Wow, wonderfully done, your careful creative eye has put together a series of stunning images, not overdone just simply elegant my friend
