my brother have a trip to San francisco, and he wants to buy a nikon d300 and a panasonic 24p camcorder.
and we dont know where to buy this kind of stuff in SF. (he travel last year to newyork and was easy to find BHphotovideo store)

please i need a recomendation or an advice.

I'm pretty sure this has been asked recently. I know there's a Calumet Photo store there & a couple other shops mentioned being in or near SF. I'll bet there's a BestBuy or Circuit City which might have the camcorder (try searching on their websites for store locations).

I don't think you'll find an HVX in a Best Buy or a Circuit City, if that's what he's looking for. :-)

Great camera, but I prefer the XH-A1. And good luck taking that down and avoiding taxes. What I normally do is make sure my gear has plenty of gaffers tape stuck on with tags and marker writing, especially if it looks brand new. Never been charged a cent going into Chile, Argentina, or Brazil.
