A bad situation.

I had a chance to really push the limits on the D3 last weekend. Mike Doughty was putting on a show in a local venue and the only piece of long glass I currently own is a 70-300mm.

Best nighclub shots I have seen. I wonder if it was 70-300 vr, a true Nikon bargain!

That's what I find amazing with the D3, you can get the pictures in very low light environments with "normal" lenses... You can push the ISO to 6400 with closed eyes

Thanks guys,

Faster glass would have made for a much easier night but I think the 70-300 did ok. Might have to pick up a 70-200 for just this kind of occasion.
