Hello,

Shot these the other day. I'm not trying to make her look pretty, or communicate beauty the way that men like to see it (unfortunately for you haha)

number one
number two
number three

Do these images look like film or digital to you folks? Any constructive feedback is welcome.

Thanks,

Carla

The first looks like film because it does not look like the normal 35mm crop ratio...

They feel very digital.

What were you going for with these pictures? I get a sense of disconnection and dissection, from anything feminine. I say this with no form of malice intended, but just the feelings the pictures gave me.

Disconnection and dissection I'm pretty ok with.

Damn! I'm trying to get a more filmy look these days - not there yet I guess.

These are a set of recursive pictures. They don't talk about what we see, they talk about why/how it's done. I personnaly, don't like what I understand (i.e; what Is stated before), but I respect the attitude

Do they look like film or digital? Figital or is that digilm...

Seriously, they look filmic, in a high contrast kind of way. 'Film' is such a generic term as there are so many 'looks' that can be achieved with it. What's more important is, do you like them? Are they fit for purpose?

if you are trying to have the Tri-X bw film look ... i would say you almost there .... at least as I remember it ...
I like the defining contrasts in these images ... nice job.
