Despite the weather, my son's HS Bball team got in a double header. And between games I went over to shooot my first ever LAX game. All were shot with a 300/2.8 IS. I would have liked to gotten lower to shoot the BBAll, and at better angles on the base lines but was unable to get access, due to school policies. So I'll have make do. All C&C is appreciated. Thanks for looking and anxious to learn from your suggestions. Rick

Thanks! I thought that the faces of the pitchers is always interesting. Would liked to have gotten morefaces on the LAX players, but just at the wrong place. Rick

Rick, your baseball shots are quite nice (action, color and sharpness). First shot is a great one. LAX shots are IMO a bit underexposed and I agree with you regarding more faces. Shoot and learn. Happens to me everytime.

Nice baseball shots.

For a total rookie, do you guys shoot through the fence for #2 and #3? Since you mention "field access", did you crop these?

All the baseball shots were shot thru the the back stop fence. It was a black, thin, rope type net as opposed to the usual metal fence. It was not to distracting. I did crop all the photos, as after lurking on this forum for a while, I have tried to adapt to the theory of "shoot tight- crop tighter". And you know what, it does seem to help. Thanks for the input, Rick

The first baseball shot is very good. Great timing.....

LAX is tough. Moves extremley fast. Keep working on it. Just like most things, it gets easier with practice.

1,2,4 for me... agree with the above posters about the LAX (underexposed, more faces)

Otherwise, nice timing, good work...
