That error message seems incredibly amusing, considering the camera is still on...

Reminds me of the error, "Keyboard not detected. Please press F1 to continue."

I love my MKII

Batteries, chargers and everything that has to do with the battery is not so good in your MKII.
The MKIII battery/charger is a huge improvement

And may we know how you reached that conclusion?

By this time you must have come to realize that Canon is pulling this stuff just to piss you off.

Is there a custom function that will put messages like that on my MkIII? I'd love to be able to call that up at some weddings!

The original pic was funny. This one is hilarious. Thanks for the first laugh of the day.

Happy shooting,

Jeff: fix it, sell it. take the hit and be done with this curse of a camera.

i got my 1d Mk III back from service about two weeks ago. it performed fine- better than before the fix. however, i am ready to move onto greener pastures. i put it into the classifieds and i fully disclosed the details of the camera to the potential buyer.

no longer do i feel like dealing with this camera, whether it works as it's supposed to or not. i'm no professional, so i'm quite fine with my 5d. in the end, i guess i paid a really expensive rental fee to have this camera

Well, on this battery that's been in the camera since the 'error', I've shot a lot in the last two days. The battery info shows 2400 shots at 50%.

Create an image in Photoshop and put it on your memory card and then view the image in camera.

I do this for product shots sometimes.

I'm amazed you took me seriously! Hmm, maybe I really should do it...

I recommend a counselling session between battery and body to try and reconcile their differences

All the best sorting it out though

That new battery must be male....your female body is complaining about the lack of communication skills. Bodies are from Venus, Battereris are from Mars.

Let's trade. My 30D doesn't give this error.
