Nice!

I like 2 and 7 the best.

My daughter is playing high school ball this year. You mind giving up your settings?

Very nice for your first attempt. Great sharpness.

IMO the shots of the pitcher need to be cropped a bit looser.

As a rule of thumb, I try to shoot the plays at first base from the third base side, but your shot does show a good angle and how close the play at first was for the runner.

#2 is a great shot. The eyes make the shot. Several of the others have great eye contact also. Very nice work. Wouldn't you loved to have a full stadium on #2? gray

Adam,

Nice work, man. You've done an excellent job catching the eyes which absolutely make the images. You even elicited a reply from the normally quiet Mr. Quetti (Gray) which is true indication of the quality of your shots. Gray knows baseball/softball (sounds like an ad campaign).

How did you find shooting softball to be different from baseball? Compare and contrast...

The shots from center field: are these taken with just the 400 or with a TC?

Oh, and BTW: Go Cards! Beat NC!

Dennis

1,2, and 5 are all from behind the outfield fence with no TC. Just the 400 and a crop in post. I think I sharpened these too much now that Im looking at them again. I normally set sharpening to 0 in DPP and then just sharpen in CS3 but I thought Id try it in DPP this time. I think its a little too much. Ill try to fix it again when I have time.

Softball was very different from baseball to me because everything was condensed. Being new to the 400, Ive got such a narrow FOV that it was sometimes hard to keep tracking the action accurately. I do feel that there was a good amount more action though than in the baseball that Ive shot. Granted, it was mostly ground balls...but at least stuff was happening haha

Thank you very much for the responses.

Very nice. And the batter shots from center definitely work. Only crit is that many could use a little contrast punch.

They were ran through DPP with Contrast and Saturation sliders set to 0 with a Neutral picture style. Im always afraid Im going to add too much so I just leave it to zero. Ill try to keep that in mind though when the picture isnt composed of many vibrant objects. Thanks for the advice.
