Wow ..... I'm away for a week and a thread like this explodes on the scene!! Nice idea Ute, I know it's been done before but it certainly was high time we had a refresher.

I'm a civil engineer for a leading UK construction company. I'm an estimating manager and it's my job to win work. Winning work is easy of course - a cheap price usually does that but the trick is making sure the constructors can build it for the money I "give" them.

Here's a couple of shots of me:

#1 is me and my good lady (of 30 years!) dressed in our finery:

#2 is me much more "at home" doing what I love best - travelling and taking photos:

Hey, I found another shot one of my friends took of me down at Crystal Cove here in SoCal. It was an incredible, out of this world sunset....

Who I am, and what I do. I'm 28, moved to the gorgeous state of Colorado 4 years ago, and married the the most beautiful, understand girl 1 1/2 years ago. She's carried my tripod countless miles, and even let us take our entire honeymoon driving from national park to national park. This picture is us with our cat last year near Aspen, CO at the start of the fall colors.

I own 2 businesses, but one is full time, and that is doing what's known as Paintless Dent Repair. I specialize in repairing cars that have been damaged in hail storms, and this gives the the opportunity to travel all over the country, and even the world. It's been great so far, but I can't wait until the day I can settle in Colorado and raise a family.

Well I guess I'll take the plunge.

23, recent Environmental Science grad. I'm working as a naturalist for Miami Dade Parks and Recreation right now. Spending much of my free time in the Everglades. Trying to get some sort of steady income from photography down here in Miami. Plans past 2 weeks from now are always non-existent.

Here's me being a little too stupid on the edge of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Colorado

I don't like being in front of the camera but here's a headshot I found.

First of all, I found the elusive Jim Fox, albeit only a side view.

For those of you who THINK you're going to see him in the SW in May, I'll warn you --he's FAST.

Look for two swinging Nikons around his neck.

And you'd be well advised to mark his photo locations, he's a master at composition.

And here he is:

I have really enjoyed this post. Getting to see my friends (and their antics, again), and meeting many new ones. There's a common thread here -- great people, who appreciate life, with a humble respect for the wonders of nature.

Just a little bio: 57, Attorney and City Court Judge from upstate NY. Loves hiking, trail running, and most of all nature and photography -- especially in the Southwest. If it ever becomes a business, fine -- as long is it doesn't overtake the experience of being there and capturing these great locations.

The photo is with my 8 year old grandson after a canoe race. He's also a great hiking companion, and has done most of Zion, including Angel's Landing.

Nah, that was a commercial for the 'Lion Bar', a candy bar sold in in the UK. I was the Crane/Dolly grip. That's me in the red.

Man, hard to believe that was 14 years ago! Where does the time go?

Hey Bart,

Thanks atleast for getting a side view of me up! I can't wait until we get a chance to go out and shoot together again, it was a blast.

I do have a front on view I found, this is of my daughter and me getting ready for some backpacking in Yosemite. Be warned I look a bit different as I had been growing facial hair at the time...

Hey Jim! It's great to see you front-on, at last. The fox is flushed from his lair!

Jim: Hmmmmm. Last I saw Martin (August in Shi Shi), he wasn't carrying his sleeping bag so high, and he was wearing Wellies.

Wow, I follow this forum as a lurker and I haven't posted to this forum yet since I either know what is wrong with my photo and/or I don't feel it's worthy of posting.

Anyway, I do have a front view of Jim taken last June, which I'm tempted to post, but don't want to ruin the mystery at this point. And he's an extremely nice guy from my experience.

Thanks Nancy! I have to be careful you know. Next thing half these guys will blow up the photo of me and hang it up in their houses... I definately don't want to make anyone tempted to start doing idol worship, or using it as a dart board as the case may be...

Okay, here is one more front face shot... This was another trip to Yosemite with my daughter, and we were getting ready for the final leg of climbing Half Dome, those dreaded cables!

As you can see, I look much younger after a trip to the barber!

Hurray... finally Jim is emerging!

BTW, Bart, we all decided last August that you are only 25 and also that you frequently wear black short dresses and have long blonde hair!!
