Before I display I would like to coment how tough some of the shots we all see everyday are to get some times. I did try some ants today with complete disatisfaction. Just could not nail a shot to save my life and they are very busy boys and Gals.

kudos to all and their efforsts we see everyday:

I moved my attention some some pretty yellow flowers.

I noticed this guy (Early Spring Here) emerged from lord knows where, the ground?, hibernated? And what a nice umbrella to sit under and be bathed by yellow difused light.

Hey Keith, no kidding on taking some shots for granted, there are a lot more than just snapshots being posted here, I know I sometimes open up a post and applaud!
Glad you turned your day in to something rewarding, your yellow flower is quite cheery but I find the wasp with umbrella a classic. Very nice detail by the way in the last one, way to hang in there!

Lovely shots - if the wasps are anything like the ones here - the queens mate in the late Autumn then hibernate and start their nests off in Spring.

Great shots
The last time I shot wasp, I got stung in the face for trying to get too close.
