The first one is amazing, that bokeh is really cool, the second one is magnificent, that background color really makes it pop. Great shots bud, two thumbs up

Composition!Composition!Composition!

You take a common bird and make it a work of art. The bokeh, color, and clarity are superb.

Excellent work!

Larry Responds: Looks like you raised the camera, not the bar! You raised the camera, did some absolutely excellent framing and 'control fiddling', and fired off two more beauties. I'm just amazed.

Thanks bud, I always do a lot of fiddling, sometimes it works.

Great shots, Gary. Were you using a tc? Are they cropped, and what was your distance from them?

Keep up the great work, Bud.

Thanks Wiley! No TC's,

#1 straight 600mm at about 35 feet, cropped a second dove head on the left which made it about 85% full frame.

#2 straight 300mm at about 12-15 feet, 90% full frame.

I cheat, I have a little pond with a waterfall in my backyard and during the winter, the birds drop by often.
