My buddy Brian hitting some jumps the other day...no PS on these, just underexposed the sky by about 2 stops if I remember correctly.

I really like the last shot Craig. I'm not usually a big fan of "centered" subjects, but this one works for me. The cropped tire on the first bothers me a bit, and the 2nd one is good, but blown away by the third.

I think you need to grab a blower brush or something too.

Mike

Ya-current trend in MTB photos is off center stuff, was purposefully breaking the 'center' rule, worked for me. Ya, sensor is dirty as heck, but I do not retouch stuff when going on web, just throw it up. These were just jerking around with some new stuff, so nothing serious.

Great work. The last photo is BIKE mag quality. I'm an old school mountainbiker and followed your wife's career. She is an incredible mountain biker.

Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful shots Stiks - and your website is awesome. And I was always wondering about what happened to Leigh - she was always one of my favorites when I was into all the racing and buying the mags on a monthly basis.

Congrats on a wonderful family

Hey Stiks, Nice shots of Lopes. Good to see teh new rig is working under him...like it would matter. That guy could ride a rigid and kill it.

I like #3, little too center punched for me, but it works.

Tell Bri I like his golfing cap ! He get that from Peaty?

Love these shots!!! No1 is my favourite.

You say you knocked the sky down about 2 stops..... Does this mean you blended your images? If so how? My exposure blending technique sucks big time!!!

Thanks

Colin

No he did not PS these, it says that in the description

it means that he used his flash off camera to light the subject 2 stops brighter than the background

so basically he directed his lighting directly onto the rider...not the background
