Excellent Portrait with great sharpness and pose. All of these coming together make it seem like an Anhinga photo shoot.
Good Job.

Nice portrait. It's hard to believe all that neck folded up that small.

Thanks Brian,
Incredibly photogenic bird. And I was able to get up close and personal. In fact, I had to back away since the minimum focussing distance of the lens is about 7 feet!

I was very pleased with how the bg came out. Quite a bit of noise in the image before some PS work.

Thanks. These are truly incredible birds, posing at great length and interesting in so many variations, esp around the neck feathers.

Very nice. Thats a great place to shoot. Some of the urban backgrounds, can be troublesome. Show us more please!

Lovely portrait and background! Maybe a tad too much space at the top would be my only nit.

Cheers

Harry, Harsha and Gene,
Thanks for the feedback.

Harry, I hope to have some images that I am as happy with as this one.

Gene, I think you are quite right: a bit off the top needed.

This is a great shot - I have about 50 shots of this type bird and none are worth a hoot - even when the photo seems very sharp, the fuzzy head makes things look not so good.
