I just wanted to say thanks to Dave. I had a buisness trip to New Orleans last week and had asked him if he could give me a tip on where to go for some photos. Although he does not live in the area he went the extra mile and contacted a friend that did to get me some info. |

On the way out as the clouds were getting thick I spotted this Osprey. These are pretty tight crops at ISO 500 Im posting them because as he flew by he seemd to be giving me the eye! |

And finnaly a Bald Eagle. I know this is not the best perch but its the first time I've seen one in the wild. I found him as I was driving to my work location. The sun was up high at about noon it was windy and I did not have my tripod so I handheld this one. |

Some great stuff here! The first pelican is wonderful but my favorite is the singing heron. Very nice. |

I have the same combination, though I'm selling my Tamron due to upgrade to an even longer lens. It's a very good combination which your shots are proof of. |

I think #7 is going to be the Eastern Meadowlark. If so, I have not seen one for about 35yrs, but I still vividly remember the one I saw occasionally. |
