I ran into this the other day while I was surfing. Not having ever heard of it or seen it posted here - I was just wondering if anyone here has used it and if so, how do you like it?

Is it worth the $129.99?

I don't use DVD slideshows at all, so couldn't comment. Lightroom does slideshows, but no effects or timing specifics.

I use pro show gold. Never seen this one before.

I wouldn't pay twice as much for some music and effects, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't.

Photodex makes some very nice and highly recomended software.

I've used ProShow for many years. (Won a few of their contests.) They are, in my opinion, the best slideshow software out there.

I have quite a few of their media packages - but not that one. If it has a few royalty-free songs that you might be able to use, it might pay for itself, right there. I spend a LOT of money for royalty free music. I've always been happy with their products.

I use ProShow Producer and Showit Web from David Jay. ProShow is unbelievably powerful. Anything is possible. My assistant puts out some killer slideshows, I'd just as well let Pictage so it though!

I've used Pro Show Gold and think it's probably the easiest to use slide show program available. I mainly use a Mac, but still go back to the PC to do my slide shows. I'm not sure what the program you are showing does different, but ProShow Gold is a winner.

I KNOW! I just switched everything to Mac and that was the one thing that I couldn't get! Showit is good. Pictage does fine. I refuse to run Windows on any of the new machines, so it seems we are putting ProShow to rest!

Thanks for all of the help. It appears that this media source wedding essentials is just a bunch of backgrounds, slides, masks, templates and audio that you add to pro show producer. It's not a standalone product.

I was just curious if anyone was using it.

Thank You,

I've been on Macs for 10 years and windows for 15ish, and I refuse to go back on Windows or even run windows on any of my Mac Intels.

However, if the Mac support is not an option and you are like me and J, buy a cheap PC and install it there separately for that purpose. Use the Mac for rendering work. That's my solution to you

For macs, try:

Fotomagico - http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/overview/

Photo To Movie 4.x http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/15681

Or use iMovie HD.

Not to hijack, but I have a question for all the pro show users... Can you do multiple photos on one slide? This a feature Memories on TV boasts, but I can't find if you can do it in pro show. Thanks!

Like JMGG said, you can do layers, and that can even be video in that slide..
