For as much time as we spend staring at our screens, reviewing and analyzing images, it's nice to finally turn a few of the digital files into an actual print! Today, I ordered a few prints not for clients, not for anyone, but purely for me...

Thought that I would share a few with you.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful images. I recently spent several weeks in Botswana and returned with over 12,000 images. I too printed some for myself so I know just how you feel. The Kingfisher, Wild Dog and Lilac Breasted Roller are my favorites with the leopard close behind. Nice work...

Thanks Red, Dave, and Scotia. #2 is one of my all-time favorites as well... I'm excited to see how it will look in print (my girlfriend has already claimed this image as "hers")

Every one of these is worth a print and being proud of. They are very nice wildlife shots.

Definitly those are to be hung on the wall, Rich. Great shots.

These are great, especially like the first 2 shots. The birds are so colorful. Enjoyed these.

Wait wait wait... Are you asking whether or not to print these?? Um, hello?

Now, assuming you've already printed them congrats. These are gorgeous. #1 is just unbelievable for me. I'd print it huge and hang it with pride. The gaze is just phenomenal.

The ruby is really nice as well. Good job capturing that color. I wasn't able to do it when I was there.

Thanks soooo much Ludwiga, Glen, shelleyc, and ajkessler!

Yes - all of these are presumably printed and will arrive next week (Mpix). I did decide to go big with #1, so he's coming to me in 20"x30" metallic... I hope it looks good.

Thanks again for all the kind comments. Means a lot.

Lovely shots & I can see you printing them all...

I really like the Kingfisher (#2) at least I hope it's a Kingfisher... But my favorite is the last - - simply because it's such a different bird & so amazingly beautiful.

Thanks for sharing

Lil

VEry nice series. I like the gaze from the leopard as well. Must have been a little intimidating.

Rich,
Please let us know how you like the metallic print. I have been curious how these would work out for wildlife prints.

I especially like the lilac breasted roller (I think it is called that off the top of my head).

Thanks chupacabra31! You nailed it... (Lilac-Breasted Roller) also known as LBR since you see so many of them!

Here's a distant cousin of the LBR - A summer variant, but equally gorgeous - A Broad-Billed Roller
