I'm in New York. I have a bunch of stuff I don't want to list, and ship, separately, so I'd like to sell it all to a store. Store credit is also fine, if it means better prices. Anyone know who gives the best deals?

Why not go to a few of the large shops in NYC and ask them what they would pay you? (or call first to get a general idea)

I think you'll find the difference in price you can sell on the Buy & Sell forum vs what a camera shop will give you will be quite significant.

Remember, they have no idea how long they'll sit on that inventory and they want to make a profit on it. I would guess you'll get 50-75% of what you could sell it privately and would suggest you re-think your position. If you're in a hurry to sell, price agressively and you'll still clear more than you would get from a camera shop.

I'll agree with Forrest...

Kind of like trading in a used car...

You'll get a much better price in the private market.....
