Hi all:

First, I would like to apologize if this is completely off topics but really don't know where else to post this. I need some suggestions or help here. A couple of weeks ago, I agreed to buy a 5D from this guy, Clyde Tollison, from photo.net and sent him a money order. At first, his communication was excellent. After he got the money order, I only received one e-mail from him saying the camera was mailed (on Dec 26). I asked for a tracking number but no reply since. In his last communication, the camera should have arrived yesterday at the latest but of course, nothing so far. I have sent him 5 e-mails but no reply. I tried calling him but nobody answered. Here is the original ad link below

He does have two positive feedback at photo.net. Any view as to what I should do?

Thanks,

Gary

Well, I really don't see how complaining here about a bad deal from photo.net is going to help you much...

In addition, I'm not sure complaining there is going to help you much either. The seller's profile is listed as:

This user account is deleted from the community.

At this point, I expect all you can do is be patient and hope the seller is honest...

You just lost a couple grand. That sucks. And KA is right. There is no reason to complain over here.

Thanks guys. I tried to post it on the forum over there but I was told I could post it as a story in neighbor-to-neighbor which might not be too helpful. Also, I think he has also created another account which is kinda strange.

Thanks again.

But you say that it should have arrived yesterday -- Dec 31. Given the slowness of mail, I'll bet it arrives this week.

I would agree with Henri, given the time of year he maybe gone from home (lack of emails) and with all the holidays and closed days I am sure it is just slow. I hope it goes well!

If it doesn't arrive soon, I'd contact the postal inspector in his jurisdiction if you paid with a postal money order. Also file a complaint on http://www.ic3.gov/
