I just want you all to know that I did research this question before I posted it, and was dissatisfied
with what I came up with.

I enjoy taking many shots without the use of the flash. And, on my Canon Digital Rebel XT, with the
Canon 50mm fl.4 lense, I can do just that, and get some pretty good results.

BUT, there's times that I simply don't want to carry that SLR with me, and I'd love to buy a much
smaller camera to take those "low light shots"...

Fuji has the F31fd, F40fd, F30, BUT they don't have any "viewfinder", which I do prefer.
So, all thats left are the larger Fuji's, like the S6000fd, and the S800fd which have viewfinders.

So, I would appreciate any recommendations from you good folks as to what smaller cameras with
a viewfinder that will allow me to take good shots in "low light", or "existing light indoors"...

I await your kind responses.

Thanks, and Happy New Year to all!......

What is smaller enough? Your slr+50 is not that large - but an SD800 is definitely easier to pocket.

I've got an F40fd, and it's pretty good in low-light, but the F30/31 are better, as is the F20 (if you can give up a few of the manual controls. Good luck finding the older models, as they seem to be selling at quite a premium, new or used. Fuji seems to be the way to go, though. I don't use mine all that much, and one reason I bought it was because I got a great deal on the underwater housing.
