Congratulations on the new A36, Glenn! So that's why you were passing KAFW at 12,500'?

This was a staged shot for the Bell 429 photo platform. Just as the chopper flew into position the tower turned on the runway lights for an added bonus.

Hi Steve:

Yep- picked it up at Jabarra airport in Wichita today. Ate at the restaurant at Stearman field which was awesome - and saw one of those Boeing 747 dreamliner parts carrying rigs fly over - thing is huge! It'd be pretty cool to live in Wichita with regards to awesome aviation goings on..

hows the jet lag? ready for another chicken fried steak yet?

The soon to be permanently removed baggage door!

I'll be over my jet lag before I recover from that chicken fried steak.

Konichiwa from Tokyo.
Went to Hamamatsu air show today, which turned into a washout, forcing me to leave early & return to Tokyo. At least got to see the RF-4EJ fly.

Looks like you are all having fun at Alliance.

Redid my Corsair attempt and added another, better?

Sorry, Laura, I still think they look over-processed. Not only that but IMHO one can get away with unusual processing effects if it is obvious that there was a pin-sharp super image to start with, but the first impression I got with these was "blurred, out of focus, and over-processed" - and being told that that was an added effect didn't get my first impression out of my head.

I like that one with the windmills and tyre smoke; very dramatic!

Steve,
Yeah that is TMS in the background with the Zeros
I am pretty proud of that shot...over the shoulder, left eye, through the slightly foggy, curved plexi...it came out ok!

It was a great opportunity to fly with those guys.
Thanks to Warbird Radio.com!

It was great to meet everyone at Alliance. Would have loved to have hung into the evening around but I'd forgotten how hard it was to stand in the sun all day and shoot these things...and of course getting home a bit earlier earned me brownie points. I need a lot of practice with my panning so hopefully I can make it to another airshow. I'll be hanging around Dallas for another 3 months and then Boston for a couple of years - plenty of time!

I hope everyone got some great shots. Thanks again for looking after me.

Scott.

After about 900 miles on race day, cars get a little dirty.
