Hi Kevin,

This shot is definitely not your typical cat shot. I think it is quite interesting. I like how you have used the grain to help with the perception of motion and the extreme close-up. Something about it seems cat-like to me and I guess that is what I really like. Good luck this week,

Thanks a lot, Steve. The one thing I'm not sure about is the blue noise. I can't decide whether it should be kept as part of the image, or whether it's just detractive. I appreciate your comments.

Hi Kevin,
Very unique, and interesting. All the noise gives it a lot of texture and color....it's like a modern art painting...abstract but with enough of the subject detectable to be understood by the viewer. VERY different for you, but isn't it fun to try new things?

Thank you, Philly. You got exactly what I meant -- for the rendering to be quite abstract but in a warm and familiar not alienated way, with pinks and greens and eyes and fur and such.
