One from today...shot on Canon 5D and Zuiko 50/1.4 (I think I prefer it to the 1.2...gasp!).

great looking shot, i kinda wondered if that was the case from looking at what you were posting from the f/1.2. thought you sold both f/1.4s, did you buy a third?

I did sell both, but the buyer of my original one (the pre 1.1mil) wasn't happy with it, so he sent it back. In a way, I was glad he did since I regretted selling it So now it's back to me and I've started using it again. The 1.2 might go up for sale at some point relatively soon...

I ain't planning to sell the "post 1.1mil" anytime soon... unless you really want it back

The resolution of the 35-70 is well documented, but here is another example that blew me away. Taken on the train while waiting to depart to the mill, 35mm wide open:

Wow, now I really know the copy that I had was way out of whack. Mine had insane field curvature at 3.4-5.6 (causing totally blurred corners), which I don't see even a trace of in your shot. Some people in the C/Y 35-70 thread said that bad wide open performance was the weak point of this lens... obviously not true. I guess that this lens is just sensitive to misalignment (due to it's floating elements probably), so there are copies out there that don't perform at all like they should.

Cogitech, what kind of adapter are you using? Or is it converted to EF mount?

Is the conversion difficult?

Yes.

However, now that I know more about nFD conversion, it would be a bit easier. The biggest challenge with this lens is to maintain aperture control, which I failed to do with this conversion. The aperture is very deep inside the lens. Getting a linkage to reach all that way and function properly is a daunting task. I settled to use the lens wide open at all times. Some day I may undo what I have done and give it another try, but the lens is so useful as it is that I am not very motivated to try.

What a beauty... Slow AF, but I usually use MF... Who cares

I dont have my copy of LR (change of computer), and just installed Sigma Software...

I rented a 15mm Fisheye and took it with me to a electronic music festival the other week. I know it's canon platform, but it's a fisheye... that's fairly alt in its own respect.

I have to say... walking around with a fisheye was a lot of fun. Talk about the ultimate festival lens. I cannot get over the amazing colour this guy rendered for me.

Thanks Paul
My only regret was not shooting more when I had it. Though, the setting I was in was fantastic for such a lens - a heavily decorated electronic music festival, full of happy hippies and techno music lovers, set on a gorgeous piece of land in the Laurentiens on the shore of the Gatineau river, which was fortunately quite low, providing us all with an amazing beach.
