Every New Years Eve a neighbor has a fireworks display on the lake behind our house. I used the M8 and the 16-21mm at 16mm and about f16.

Zeiss 45/2.8 'pancake' tessar

Doesn't seem to be a hair splittingly sharp lens, but it's enough to resolve a good image on the 1Ds2 (probably on par with Canon 50/1.4). I usually use the 45 on my Contax film camera (RTS-2, which makes a nice small travel combo!), but decided to bring it along on a hike to see how it goes on the digital

I think with a 5d, this lens would make a great travel digital combo!

Spent a few days in New York, here are some impressions. I'm a first-timer (in NY) so don't expect too much in the way of originality

The GRD II is fine for capturing scenes that would otherwise not be recorded, becasue it's so small and light it's hardly noticed. Like these insignificant shots.
