The shoes certainly look well worn an belie an obsession. This shot is a very interesting take on the WA. I would have liked to see less contrast in the lighting a less cluttered background, but still a very good entry. Good luck this week.

This shot seems a bit out of focus. And the dark left edge looks a bit awkward.
But an interesting idea for the assignment. Keep posting!

Thank you both for your comments. My motivation was to show the certified mound of running shoes I have (6), but was unable to get a capture that didn't involve a lot of carpet. Anyhow, it was a good exercise and I can only imagine I'll improve over time.

Welcome! Great idea and I like the close crop. A defined focal point and some contrast adjustments (while shooting (or pp may help)) would add to this image. The shadows lend themselves well to this concept. Looking forward to seeing more posts!
