The woods around my house made me recall the Robert Frost poem, though these were taken in the very late morning as opposed to the evening, as once evening falls in winter here, the landscape gets very dark!

Thanks for taking us on this little trek. It feels like we're right there. Those are exactly the conditions we have here in upstate NY right now as well.

Hi, Clovermead.

Very evocative of the Robert Frost poem (which I had to learn at school some 50 years ago). Every time I see snow and trees I think of it, even after all these years. I think the second is particularly evocative, with the green leaves still there contrasting with the white snow and the tangled undergrowth. The woods are (indeed) lovely dark and deep.

The 1st shot has more vertical growth and the second more horizontal. The second seems to box me in. The 1st makes me feel like I could walk into the woods and I like it best because of that.
