I am always impressed by the quality of the images shown here. Very inspirational.

Another shot through a Yashica ML - this time a 135/2.8

I also like the bokeh of this lens. So maybe one more example?

Robert, if that is your daughter, you are going to have every adolescent male after her in about 10-12 years. She looks like a very young Paulina Porizkova.

Good luck!

Indeed, this my my daughter (one of the two, in fact). I am aware that she is pretty, and I will have to do with a lot of admirers in a few years

My daughters (5 & 6) used to get annoyed sometimes too, so now I pay them $1 per shoot and they change their tone

We got our first bit of snow today. Here's a quick shot from the deck.

Thanks. It's amazing what you can find when you run away from the city and keep driving...

...a couple belts of 0 celsius Remy and a dip in the lake, then a warm fire and a warm woman.

I can smell the air now...

Yes, you did provide useful input into the decision. I now have 3 ZF lenses (50, 35, 25), but haven't been able to use them much yet. I'm still recovering from that broken collar bone I got when that stupid car hit me while I was cycling 3 weeks ago. I figure I'll be able to do more and get out more in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, maybe I'll get that ZF - C/Y 50mm f1.4 Planar comparison together. Informally speaking from what I've seen from outside of strict side-by-side comparison, I don't see a lot of differences, except perhaps with the bokeh of the ZF being subjectively a touch nicer. The main advantage of the ZF may be that it is better positioned for a possible FF (I mean "FX") Nikon purchase. More later.

Ah, collar bones. They aren't much fun to break. Did it 3 times, myself. Fell off a bunkbed, moped accident (this is bad on so many levels), and hockey, of course.

I hope you feel better.

Some photos taken with Minolta MD W Rokkor-X at wide open on Canon 5D body. Pretty sharp corner to corner.

Thanks for the samples, Sam. I'll try to get time to post some sample from my two Rokkors (45/2 & 58/1.2) soon.
