Hi Bruce,

I flew out of OC at around 1pm yesterday and there were fires burning everywhere. Some of the fire lines were quite close to homes up near where these were probably taken at. Hope you are yours are safe.

Besides the tragedy of it all, that's a lot of natural habitat and wildlife that's going up in flames. As if we didn't have enough problems with loss of habitat and wildlife due to development ........... Now this.

I work in the Irvine/Santa Ana area and the whole area is covered in ash. You go outside and all you can smell is smoke. This is really one of the worst fire seasons in this area in many years. Glad you posted these images!
