No sure why Rob is being so quite? I just wish I could test mine, I know I could go shoot cars but that was not my before. My before was soccer and football so I need to shoot same to really test it. |

All I have got to say is WOW. OK so got to shoot my new replaced body SN 548xxx and it did excellent. It was not ideal shooting conditions sunny and warm, but I was able to see the focus issue even on cool gray days. Well that is what I shot in today and it was spot on. Shout it from the roof tops it works! |

Oh and this was shot at 2.8 today which made my old M3's puke soft shots like they were going out of style. The new body is crisp even shooting from the end line (soccer) and hitting the defender on the other end. |

I shot my 400 2.8 today. Normally I have that and my 70-200 2.8 on my other body but it has not arrived yet. So far no I would not say with my 400 I need to adjust any. I shot at one end of the field and hit a girl on the fly at the far end and could read her club name the shirt that was just on one side of the chest. |

I posted this on the "Rob Galbraith & Mark III Autofocus" thread as well, but just in case you don't visit that one here it is: |

What part of the country are you in? The heat was only a component in the focus issue. Living in the Seattle area even on overcast or gray days I could easily see the softness. When I went down to SoCal to shoot a tournament it was far worse. Yesterdays shot really gives me a good feeling again. I would say with out hesitation that is focuses faster than my M2's. |

Chad, I assume you are seeing an appreciable improvement in focus performance. Am I correct? |

I am a little discouraged reading on NSN that one photographer who just purchased the Canon 1D MK III "Blue Dot Special" and has the same exact AI servo tracking problems as he had with the previous body he had before. |
