I heard that a reputable newspaper in Toronto is going to be getting all new cam's for their staff photographers...

D3h is on its way!

Hi Ix,

I'm sorry to break your bubble, but if a newspaper is ready to get cameras for all their staff it could very well be the 1D Mk III...

Well, not this newspaper --- they have way too much money invested in Nikon gear, they supply camera's to the staff, and they will be Nikon. I was assured by one of the guys.

So go ahead - try breaking my bubble. It won't work, I put my sheilds up, and I am outta this galaxy at warp speed......

I'm sorry to break your bubble, but what makes you think that you know what the newspapers in Toronto are deciding to purchase?

Well, it is great news, no doubt about it, because extra competition means lower prices for all. That said, a 1.13x crop does not equal FF.

FF is any crop size you want it to be - just ask Hasselblad!

Yeah, ive never quite understood this FF crap. any variant of 4x5 is FF, not a 2x3 ratio. I work in 8x10, thats full frame. A friend of mine works with 16x20, thats overkill..

Actually, we really have NO confirmation that it is 1.13X. This is simply a theory that has been batted around the forums.

The original news from the owner of Nikonians SUGGESTED a 1.1x FF.

Would a 1.13X crop be within what a DX lens covers?

The only people who are making a fuss about the 1.1 or 1.13 number seem to be owners of Canon equipment.
