And considering I was writing to the person who started this thread, who's away from home, on active miltary service in Kuwait, in the service of America and the world as opposed to living the gifted life of a civilian in Omaha, NE or Great Britian, my comments were appropriate.

I'll be happy to remove any post of mine, in this thread, which you find offensive as the person I was writing to has read my comments of support and that's what's important.

Give me the word and they're gone. I'm stepping away from the computer for a short bit so don't be upset as I'll be happy to censor my posts to your personal satisfaction. And if I don't remove them in the next few minutes, I will in the next twenty of so.

I'm sure you are a very well-meaning person and I respect you for that.

However I personally don't regard a photo forum as the appropriate place for comments regarding the military - you perhaps may not realise that the US military is not held in high regard in other places, for example they recently killed a well-known British journalist (amongst many others) and then tried to conceal it.

Personally I feel if you want to offer support another type of forum might be preferable.

I certainly wouldn't ask you to remove your comments, that would be a moderators' decision

As to the moderator, someone has to be offended. Are you offended? If so, point out the post which offended you and it's gone. No moderator necessary. Just you and me working it out together; buddies having a good time.

Pesonally, I'd like to see all of our miltary come home and I'd like to see the world deal with their own rat's nest.

Show the OP some respect as it's his butt on the line, not your's, unless you're currently in the military, overseas, also.

If anybody here is offended by what I wrote in support of the OP, point out the post which offended you and I'll be happy to censor myself according to your taste.

I showed the OP respect by tring to answer his question, this is a photographic forum!

And it was a miltary person, serving in the USAF, overseas, in uniform, asking the question.

You're correct as this is also a photographic community and we all have interactive lives that don't end because you say people have to be sterile in their interactions while visiting FM; "a world wide photographic community."

Again, you're continuing and yet you won't tell me what to remove other than to say, it must be your way or no way.

Tell me what to remove to make you happy and I'll do it or ignore the thread and move on as you have the choice to continue in this attempt to control the forum and this thread. I'm going be supportive of our troops, that's reasonable. Just let it go and move on to the next thread unless this is your idea of a good time or please, tell me what to remove.

You are obviously a young. Before you insult brave soldiers doing their best to defend freedom, recommend you talk to some older folks in your country who remember and know they would be speaking German if it wasn't for the US Soldiers who died protecting your ancestors in WWII.

We respect your personal beliefs but this is a photography forum.
