Hi, I looked at the last pictures you posted and had the following comments (I hope someone will just correct me if I am wrong; but I think this series is too interesting to not try to gather some more knowledge |

FANTASTIC! Now I don't have to look inside mine! I am very confident my camera would never work again if I had to reassemble it! Thanks for saving me the $$$! |

Yes, I thought it was like driving by an auto accident too. I couldn't help but look! So when are you going to put it up on ebay? |

Another update. I'm down to the last few bits I can disassemble. The latest shots are of the dissected AF mirror/prism/sensor box, which lived at the bottom of the mirror chamber. Images can be seen here: |

I have a question about the prism. I hear a lot about dust getting up there and wondered when you send it in for a cleaning, is that something easy to get to. Do you think Canon takes the prism out to clean it or do they just blow air up there? |

The camera without the casing attached to the lens reminds me of those body worlds exibits, where the guy slices open the bodies and poses them. I dont think i could have done what your doing. I would have thrown it away to get the bad memories out of my life. HAHA |
