today I got a news from a canon dealer in Canada.

He told me the new 1DS called 1ds mark2 N.

It makes me disappointed cuz that there will not be great improved in the new body

with the big price drop on the 1d2n and 5d lust reported by Lars, it's looking like they might actually release a non-1 body with a 1-series AF. That would affect the value of both of those models. It's hard to imagine what else they would do to affect both. For me it matters little because a 1ds-series is way out of my amateur price range and the benefits are probably not to be seen on my A3 printer anyway.

Faster focusing AF on my 5D is what I always wish for!

Yes, but the point was that at his budget (and mine) it doesn't really matter what the new camera has

"lust" indeed. The price drop reported was only in Thailand, and may have only been at a few shops.

Not only is this rumor season, but also silly season (August). We now have rumors of rumors in other threads, and this one is no better, really.
