Eli:
What Kind of Modifier are you using in the second shot? Umbrella or octabox?

Very Nice BTW! :-)

A 48" octobox to camera left, and a 48" white reflector below the camera, Flash set to I think about 600w/s, and hugely over exposed with blown highlights everywhere haha, probably my favorite of the shoot though.

Here's a new one from today, very quick edit on it. I'm really enjoying playing with mixing strobe and daylight. This is just a single SB-800 over her shoulder to edge-light her and keep her from blending into the background.

the beauty of this thread is it takes so long to get to the end, you can start over at the beginning because you have forgot what was there!

Thanks to all photographers for taking the time to share images, setups and tips.

AB400 w/ medium softbox and silver reflector. It was originally a two light setup, but my 580EX hairlight went in to sleep mode and didn't fire for this one

Hi Justin,

I think that was about 4 foot from subject to model, with a set of grids set horizontally

My favorite thing about this thread may be just looking at all the different points of view and perspectives! I love seeing how everyone has a different approach to the limitation of a single light.

Here's another one from my shoot a couple days ago, just to show how we tried to get very different looks out of the same location and gear. This is just a single Profoto Acute2 head fired into a 36" white umbrella and powered off a Hensel Porty pack.
