The Vagabond 150. Everything I shoot is on location, so this is my baby.

I will continue my homework. Your images and insight is greatly appreciated. Especially from one who is having to make a transition into a new environment.
Please continue to post, it turely helps, and anything you can think of that will assist is equally appreciated.

Jason,

GREAT photos! You're website portfolio is just awesome. One question. When you shoot outdoors with your flash and it's a bright sunny day, how do you control the exposure (assuming your flash sync speed is 1/200 or 1/250)? Do you use ND filters?

Thanks so much for checking out my portfolio. I appreciate it.
So I shoot with a 5D and I can only sync at 1/160 even though it says it is rated at 1/200. I control exposure with my aperture mainly. I also will sometimes adjust flash output and shutter speed. Settings and such really vary from shoot to shoot.

Cheers,

Here is a photo I took of a band called I Hate Sally. It is a one light setup.

It actually got printed in a magazine called The Big Issue from the UK

This one was taken with an on camera flash straight on.

and finally this last one is a portrait of my older brother nick

All..
I haven't been on FM in a couple of months and I can't tell you how psyched
i was to see this thread was on page one!

outstanding.

This thread has morphed into it's own entity and I get totally inspired every time I go through it. thanx to all of you for keeping it going.

Numfar,
Great shots. I especially like the first one. What degree grid was this?

Terry:

The light I used is a single Elinchrom 600 RX with a gridded reflector. I think I used the 10' reflector for the back shot, and 40' for the arm shot. Directly overhead, maybe 3-4 feet above the model.

Larry,

Many may not notice that you were the one that first asked the question about one light set ups, but from someone who has looked at all 100+ pages.. let me say "Thank You". Not only has this thread become a great place to share one light shots, it has become a great resource that is often referenced in other forums across the web when the question about one light setups comes up. Thank you again and to everyone that has contributed...

Fridays Bridal shoot (Beautifull Cajun Bride). I used a Quantum T5D on bracket QTTL.
I have a few off camera with pocket wizerds with mixed results. The sun came in and out of the clouds making manuel exp. tricky. To speed things up I switched to QTTL.
