Alaska took the 4 game to 1 victory tonight, 4-3 in Georgia to win their first ever Kelly Cup.

I was hoping for a game 5 loss so I could shoot one or two more games....oh well...

I believe I heard that Mike Scott (pictured bellow) either got player of the game or MVP for the Kelly Cup.

Yeah, yeah, yeah rub it in

I had seats along the glass last night and the second period and most of the third was really flat. The Gladiators had their chances with about 1:50 of 5 on 3 to take the lead in the game.

After all the excitement of game 4 the fans expected more. From where I sat you could tell the teams were just beat from the grind.

I was there with another forum member and mentioned to him as the horn sounded, you must be a happy guy.

The game was held at the Gwinnett Area in Duluth, Georgia btw

I haven't had the chance to review my shots yet- but I know Robin tried to get a couple of the Aces celebration. Congrats.

truth be told...I don't care for the organization. Their front office is a pain to deal with and they do not treat media that great. It is good for the city that they won, but honestly...this is one "home" team I can truly cover with out any bias.

Me too, Carl. I just wanted you to be able to shoot a couple more games.

I did get a few celebration photos. Since I just recently started shooting RAW, I am spending a little more time in post processing. It's taking me a little longer to post up the photos. Especially after two nights in a row of shooting and long hours at work.

I did notice a photographer on the ice after the game shooting with what I swear was a PocketWizard Plus. I am pretty sure he was driving the strobes from the ceiling with it. I was surprised he was using the standard PW Plus. I could be wrong.

What would someone normally drive the strobes with at a basketball or hockey game? Who would be using the strobes for something like minor league hockey? Newspaper, league, team, independent, wire service...?

Here the Daily News uses strobes, but usually at this level it is team photogs or league photogs that would strobe. However, with this being the playoffs, it could have been anyone.
