I've this major doubt, that lots of people have:
EOS305d cost me 200$ more than D50 (here in Europe).

Does it really worth that extra price?
Canon fans out there, let me know in which way

Thanks in advance,
Rui

You are buying into a SYSTEM, not just a single camera body. The investment in lenses over time is more than the camera body. Who has what you want? If price and a single body/lens combination is all that is important, look at the Pentax - its the cheapest digital SLR and is still a good camera.

I played around with a D50 the other day and was surprised how cheap it felt. I expected a sturdier feeling camera.

I have the 350 and love it. I only have gripes about it when I push it over ISO 800 - but I'm kind of picky.

I have nothing against Nikons or anything, was just surprised that the D50's buttons and such felt 'loose' or something.

What system do you plan to own in the future? WIth a DSLR the lenses and accessories will most likely work with newer models. There is probably little else to think about but this.
