Oh - I guess it's not Wednesday yet.

Good to know that while I might have this calendar business a little mixed up I'm not out of the Zeiss loop.

Since the Zeiss webmaster changed the images on his site, the linked image I sent on page 3 changed. But it was in my browser cache. So this is the image we should see tomorrow on Zeiss site :

Bah if they did only make the lenses for Nikon it would be stupid on their part. I just sold my Nikon gear because I was sick of their cameras being behind by a year. Look at the D200 it's on par with the 20D

No offence Keith, since I had the 20D and now have the D200 I can tell you that the D200 is miles ahead of the 20D not only in features and ergonomics but in resolution as well.

Yeah and I tested the D2x and went with the 5D. it only took them what 4 years since the D100 to pop out the D200? The only things that matters to me is low noise for my night photography, Full Frame image sensors and sealed cameras so I can shoot in the rain. Thats why the EOS 1DS mkII is next on the list. everything else is the photographer, if someone says oh I missed that and its all my cameras fault they need to at the person holding it. The old nikons had noise even the D2x is ugly at high ISO, I know I tested it for a week. I love it when Nikon comes out with something good, it means Canon will as well.

Looking at what I just typed looks like I'm downing Nikon, I'm not though. I'll be the first to say Nikon wides are stunning next to Canons. I loved my Nikon gear and I still have some of it. Thier bodies just don't fit my needs anymore but I guess they fit yours. And if you read what little I put in my review on the 5D I even say I like the lay out of the Nikon.

So with that said you totaly missed my point. I just want everyones gear when they sell it. And if they do only come out with the Zeiss for Nikon it looks like I'll use my Nikon to Canon adaptor.

Sooo... If they come out with a terrific wideangle I could get an F mount to EOS adapter?
Not to shabby... Sort of half way there...

Unless the ZMs are based on the non-retrofocus ZF lenses that would only fit an SLR camera with lots of mirror clearance - like the Nikon DLSRs - and not Canon full frames . . .

The Nikon flange to film distance is only 1mm longer than the Contax Design, so the lenses may likely be the same design.

Can someone explain the Zeiss/Cosina relationship? Do they own Voightlander and Zeiss, or do they only have some sort of distribution/marketing agreement?

lots of Zeiss lenses (C/Y mount) in B&S and on ebay, all the sudden.

Wouldn't that be unluncky speculators ?
Not unlucky, fast, prices are still high. Hopefully in a few time they get lower and I'll be able to buy more contax lenses for my rx.

I'm guessing those lenses sit even closer than a crop camera mirror would allow.

The picture shows a manual 35 F mount camera, indicating they are not deeply recessed soley for a cropped frame DSLR.

The notion of Zeiss making EF lenses might be false hope, but I'd be happy to take that if you can't give me real hope :-)

According to Google Translate, Zeiss will imminently launch a range of 'Squat Achievement Lenses'. Which is nice.

Anyway what it is, we should give us a special offer, first we make ourselfes the publicity, then we are going to buy it, whatever it might be.

Completely unrelated. I just wanted to say Graham you have a stunning website. I love the way the thumbnails 'flash' in as if a photo has been taken.

Who says Flash sites don't work. It is a thing of beauty as is the content

Wow, thanks!
