That is the reason why I'm so paranoid about buying 2nd hand gear from the B&S forums. Today's paint splattered camera could very well be tomorrow's "FS: Excellent Condition 20D" transaction.

OWWW...

Thanks for the future camera nightmares, GMaster1. Awesome and telling images. Its clear how hard you and your equipment work at those events.

Did the 20D survive, or was it written off? Do paintball photos pay well enough for replacement gear (or at least insurance), or is it just for the love of the game?

Thanks again for sharing those.

Thanks m8! The 20D didn't survive but was written off. As per pb photos paying well enough, yeah I've been able to pay off all of the equipment on just that sport, but it is more of a love for the game kind of thing that keeps me in it despite not playing haha. (It's an addicting sport to shoot)

the 20D looks like it was done on purpose, then taken pictures of. How else could the mirror inside break?

It was hit on the field between lens changes and then taken off the field for the pictures.

That's me on the left with a Mark II + 70-200 non-IS, an original 1D with a 400 2.8 version 1 with a PW on top to fire my two remote cameras on the other end - 1d Mark II + fisheye on the goal, 1D Mark I with 16-35 on the floor.

And he's holding it like a point-shoot camera. Did you put it on live view for him?

Great thread, this one immediatley comes to mind for the humor:

I've been a fan of this guy's stuff for a while, he just turned 21, but has been shooting hardcore since he was 17 (and I'm 27), he does a great job with his studio lights (using his AB1600 to illuminate this shot)... he's rocking with my 70-200 2.8 IS on his 5D.

(I shot this with my 40D and my sigma 10-20)

It's from stevewang's post two above, but I didn't want to repost the entire thread in a quote, so I grabbed the URL (I hope you don't mind steve)

I think it's 100-400 IS f/4.5-5.6 as you grabbed above,
and shot with my 70-300 IS (also in above lotus pictures)

Doesn't look big enough to be the 100-400L but I don't know what else it would be since it is a white push pull.
