For what its worth, I have yet to observe a newspaper/magazine photographer in Seattle using a Nikon camera for their work. The great majority is being done with 1D Mark 1's, and a few 1D Mark 2's. Lenses of choice are the 70-200 2.8 non-IS, and the 17-35 2.8/16-35 2.8 ![]() In the orange is the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's Dan Delong (a really great guy and even better photog), with a 1dmk1 and 70-200 2.8 non-is. ![]() From behind this is Karen Ducey, also of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. She is toting a 1dmk1 and a 500 f/4. She is a great person to have next to you on a media podium ![]() ![]() Shot these of my friend Phil Webber, with the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, while on a job shadow with him. In the 2nd shot, that is a 28-70 on a 1dmk1. 550 ex flash. ![]() Grant Haller of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, with 2 1dmk1 bodies, a 17-35 2.8 on one and a 70-200 2.8 non is on the one in his hands. ![]() Daren Fentiman, With Zuma Press (wire service) toting a 1dmk1 and 14mm 2.8 Awesome guy. ![]() A photog for a weekly newspaper I shoot for on occasion, toting a D60 and a 70-200 2.8 non-is. ![]() I borrowed a buddy's 300 2.8 non-is for a shoot, which obviously compliments my nikon d70 and 18-35 All these photos were taken with Nikon cameras daniel |
