Couldn't hold myself back from ordering, what a DEAL!

Adorama appears to be offering a real battery while B&H bundles a knock-off. That puts Adorama wayyyy ahead in my view.

All the Adorama kits I looked at have a Power2000 EN-EL15 2200mAh battery.

been on the fence with the D600 for a while now - but this deal may just do it for me. Sell the D7000 and three DX lenses. Have to sleep on it one more night.

Costco is selling a D600 bundle with two lenses, but I really don't need that second zoom on a full frame body, so it's not that much of a deal for me, but somebody else may be interested - D600, 24-85 mm VR Lens, 70-300 mm VR Lens, WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter, Nikon Case, 32 GB SD Card, for $2390

These deals are amazing. I may go to Costco later and see if they have the kits.

To those that think this deal will come back, I'm not so sure; it seems like Nikon really is doing an end of the year push.

Another day has passed, and I still want it... I am already doing the math what all my DX stuff will net on ebay

Anyone have experience with a D300 and D600 to compare? I'm just a hobbyist so not extreme conditions but I used my D70 and D300 in snow storms and misty conditions with no ill effects to the cameras. I covered cameras when not actually shooting and used homemade rain covers but not a water housing. This is a couple time per year occurrence. I guess I could also just use my D300 in those conditions. I plan to use it as a second body, not sell it.

It's not weather sealed like the D300. Think D90 with a FX sensor.


I decided for the price difference with the D800 that I'd just use my D300 on those 5-10 days per year that I'm in questionable weather.

Its just so easy and cheap to get a rain jacket that I don't see a small difference in weather sealing to be an issue. Just get the one you want.

ordered the bundle from Adorama yesterday. Got the confirmation email: backordered. Oh well, what's another week or two when I've been shooting crop sensors for over a decade?

buy the D600 sell the excellent kit lens, and buy an awesome mf nikkor 85mm 1.4 AIS= set.
