That's quite a bit of weight savings my friend. 2lbs is roughly 30% and that's a lot considering. For you the TVC-2x would be a better choice i think |

My small landscape only bag + tripod is 23 pounds. Going from 23 to 21 is what I see. This is leaving my 70-200 out. My vest weighs at least 5 pounds. |

I do my calculations on a per component level. that then gives me the opportunity to look at the other parts that make up the whole and see what can be done with each individual one to reach a particular theoretical or real world goal I have in mind. |

I've not had the RRS leveling head off my 3541LS since it arrived. It's a very nice design. |
