I just got back from another alpine excursion to find all of these very kind comments. Thanks to everyone who took the time to leave one. Thanks also to Fred for the props; I'm pretty new here and didn't even realize that there was a featured thread on the homepage. What a nice welcome! I spent this last weekend hiking under blank skies one day and dark grey clouds the next (complete with rain and snow while I was on the trail)…oh well, can't win 'em all!

Phrasikleia,

This is as beautiful a landscape photograph as I have ever seen. Do you have a website with more photography?

Best regards,
Tim

What a beautiful capture and I would never have guessed the lens used. I have been thinking of giving landscape photography a try and this definitely gives me something more to think about. Very well done.
