Finally, will update tonight. Hopefully 5D III will work as well as 1D X at f/8 AF. This might be reason enough to sell 1D IV having two cameras that can AF at f/8 and with 4 assist points and almost identical set-up.

That link doesn't say anything about the -8 MDA bug, 3rd party batteries or speedlite assist AF speed Skibum, have you got any link for that?
